Mrs. Rosenfeld Posted Sunday, February 6, 2011 02:18 AM I'm sure I speak for many when I say that Mrs. Rosenfeld left the most indeligible impression on me during the JHS 67 years (1964-67). She was our Earth Science teacher and unquestionably the most eccentric, strange, and interesting teacher I have come across. I still exchange remarks with class mates that essentially paraphrase expressions she used in her speech: If you will," "really and truly" and always and forever" to name a few. I'd be interested to hear from others who remember her. |

RE: Mrs. Rosenfeld Posted Tuesday, February 28, 2012 09:03 AM David, I was in the class of '68 and science was not my best subject. Mrs. Rosenfeld didn't exactly endear me to Earth Science. The phrases I remember were "Really & Truly" & "First & Foremost". I used to sit next to Margaret Roach and she was very smart. She could imitate Mrs. Rosenfeld perfectly, and it took all I could do not to laugh out loud. I was in the 3 year SP class and was barely passing the course with a 75. I do have to say that I failed the Earth Science Regents with a 60, but Mrs. Rosenfeld did pass me with a 75, so I have to thank her for that. At that time, the Earth Science Regents was optional, so it didn't stop me from getting a regents diploma in HS |
