RE: FOR THOSE OF YOU IN THE SCHOOL BAND Posted Friday, November 26, 2010 11:13 PM Off the top of my head, the lyrics were something like: Our school forevermore, praise the blue and white. Onward we'll search for truth. Let Pasteur be our guiding light. With banner waving high, keep those golden rules. We'll strive for loyalty to America, Old Glory and our school. March on to victory, fight on for fame! Students of sixty-seven, glory is our constant aim. As through the years we go, pledging our theme, Our banner waving high, we'll strive to make the blue and white supreme! ___________________________ I think "banner waving high" occurs twice, but I'm not sure. Maybe I have it mixed up with "Mickey Mouse! Mickey Mouse! Forever let us hold our banner high, high, high, high..." Dan Kravetz '66

RE: FOR THOSE OF YOU IN THE SCHOOL BAND Posted Friday, November 26, 2010 11:15 PM P.S. The tune for our school song came from the U.S. Navy anthem "Anchors Aweigh" (not "Away"--it's a nautical term!) |

RE: FOR THOSE OF YOU IN THE SCHOOL BAND Posted Thursday, July 17, 2014 04:53 PM Hi. Mark Lane class of 1965. I played clarinet in the band under the direction of Mr. Parness, I believe was his name. Hard to believe it will be 50 years next year . My daughter went to 67 too as a middle school not a JHS as it's called now. Her teachers were younger and prettier than mine or maybe I just saw them different when my daughter attended 67. Band was fun. I made a lot of friends back then. MARK |
