Adrienne Schissell (Perez) (1968)

This past Sunday a few of us 1968 kids met in Florida. The group included-Dawn Kopman-Adrienne Schissell-Perez, Pamela Krebs-Moskowitz, Carrie Goldberg Dubinsky,Ronnie Simonian, and Don Rosenthal and his lovley wife. We sat for a few hours sharing stories from the past, catching up and showing photos of our families. We laughed and just carried on like it was yesterday. It was the best Sunday afternoon I had besides going shopping at the mall. If you live in Florida and want to get together with us again let us know. There are 68 people in Florida alone. Some of us cannot make the re-union but meeting here would be just as great. A big hug and kiss to everyone I saw Sunday-it was the best.

I loved Kiddie City. I remember when they tore it down and I think built a diner there. I've been away for too many years to recall.

Sherri,
If you can give me the names and years everyone graduated, I will make sure that the ones that passed away are listed on the Memorial page, and those that aren't on the class lists are posted, and looked for and notified of the site.

just a note last night i attended the reuion at douglaston manor for the younger, crowd the turn was to everyones suprise a whopping 220. as always the manor did a great job. it reminded me of our reunions on a smaller scale it was great watching everyone reunite and carry on as if it was yesterday. i really didnt know anyone but the spirit of the hood was there and the electicrity was there. hoping you can join us next memorial day 2010 to experience that great feeling. they say you cant go home but we all can if only for one weekend. there was nothing like growing up in our little world but its still in everyone one of us. hoping all is well with you please start sending in your money as we dont want anyone to be shut out, space is limited. dont say after i should have gone you have enough notice so just do it.

LOVE AND PEACE

Well this fine web site is getting a group of us from Beech Hills closer to seeing each other after 30+++ years.

I have summoned the following to help me set up a dinner get together for those of us who used to "play stick ball, and football" in the court on 57th Drive(244-40 mine. So far Kenny Miller and I have a contact list and would like others to email us.

Some of those names we have include, Max Jarolem, Kenny Ellert, Howie Stork, Tony Heller, Doug Andriole, and looking for others.

Lets not wait till 2010, let do it now!!

Had cheery treat today, saw Barry Ginsburg and he had a contact with Mr. Lew Rubin, the metal shop teacher from 67. Barry is actually having lunch with "Mr. Rubin" next week. God bless him, he is 85 years young

We should try to find more teachers.

Mrs. Edith Jackson, history and english teacher, is one I would love to find.

Let find some more.

Dave,
I see there is a profile for Mrs. Garfinkel....Can you believe she is 83 years young !!!!!!
I don't want to offend her is she reads this, but do you remember we all thought she had the hots for Mr. Boar?

06/05/09 03:42 PM #62

David Reiter (1961)

Its funny that Mrs. Garfinkel is the only teacher I can remember us thinking she was good looking.
I go to the high school in Fair Lawn, NJ and I see so many young good looking teachers. I guess times change.

I look back at the opportunity to teach back in the 70's and I did not want too due to unions, but looking back, it was not a bad gig.

I was lucky enough to be taken to lunch last Friday (June 12th) by Lew Rubin, the metal shop teacher.
He had always been my favorite teacher and is an amazing person. We spent about 3 hours talking about old times and what has happened in our lives over the past 50 years. To say I enjoyed being with him would be an understatement. He is 85 years young and loves life. He lives in San Diego and was visiting his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren in Ardsley. We will definitely stay in touch and he will be coming to the reunion next May. I am sure he would appreciate hearing from anyone who remembers him
